Casa Palermo is newly renovated and opened January 1, 2006. The decor is modern, however, we have been very careful to preserve the original charm and architectural ambiance by retaining the antique wood floors and doors, as well as the tall windows, which flood the rooms with incredible light. As a counterpoint, the furniture is decidedly modern, with careful selections, such as Le Corbusier's leather Basculant Chairs (included in the permanent collection of the New York Museum of Modern Art) and similar sophisticated modern pieces, augmented by careful selections of original art. The layout of the house retains the traditional arrangement in which all the rooms open to either the courtyard (patio) or roof-top terrace (see links at left to the floor plans and photos). The atmosphere is private, elegant and serene. An oasis.

Casa Palermo is similar to a condominium townhouse. It is the third unit from the street, of three adjoining units, consequently, it is very quiet and private; no traffic noise at all.

There is virtually no jet lag flying from the U.S. to Buenos Aires.
The U.S. Dollar goes a long way in Argentina.
You don't have to speak Spanish to get around Buenos Aires (you just have to be able to point, shrug, smile, say "no," say "si" (yes), hand a cab driver a written address, etc.). Many people you encounter can speak some English.
